Slottsskogskolonien is a small village of allotment gardens just a five minute walk from where we live, providing some lucky families with a bit of rural life right in the city! they are impossibly sweet. each plot has a tiny wooden house painted in pretty colours - reds, blues, yellows - and a small garden to plant vegetables, fruit, flowers, trees... right now in the fall, the apple and pear trees have heavy branches filled with ripe fruit. it is a lovely place to go walking, although public access is limited, and soon the gates will be closed up for the winter, so i will have to wait until the spring to take another stroll through this wonderfully pleasant pseudo countryside!
