it has been very cloudy lately, so this evening when the sun came out for a little bit we decided to climb the little hill just near our house before dinner. we weren't sure how to start, but just up the street we found a path that looked like drunk teenagers must have trampled on their way to the top. good enough for us! the light was beautiful, coming through the autumn leaves.

and at the top we had a wonderful view

we can see this hill from our bedroom and kitchen windows,

so of course when we climbed up we could see our house.

there it is in the top-middle, the little white house that the ray of light is touching

there were lots of birch trees, like everywhere here

also some strange huts that appeared to be empty but seemed like they were chicken coops

knee-deep in grasses and heather!

there were wonderfully lush mosses

and a bare apple tree that had lost all of its apples!
