i found this mushroom guide at a little used bookstore down the street.
it is quite beautiful, and of course it made me think of you, grandma.
i still remember foraging trips in the hills with you when we were young,
and of course that time you sauteed up some mushrooms you had found in the yard,
and tried to make nicky and i eat them. we refused.
when you come visit, we can go mushroom hunting here,
and if we find anything edible, maybe i will be braver now.
but maybe not ;)
